Fall Leaves

Fall Leaves

Sunday 30 September 2012

September has been a busy month!

We have been busy creating our Classroom Charter which lists the rights of each child in the classroom. We have been learning about how to collaborate with others. We have been getting used to our new routines. But most importantly, we have been making new friends, getting to know one another better, and having lots of fun!

Collaboration!

This week we learned about working together in partnerships or small groups. We are also working on Our Class Charter. The charter will help us to create a classroom where every student feels comfortable, safe, and can do their best work.

Welcome to Our Grade Two Blog!

We hope that everyone enjoyed the first week of school!  Our students have been very busy settling in to new routines and getting to know their new classmates.  Our hope for this blog is that it will be a source of information for you as well as a link to the events in our classrooms. Please check the blog weekly for updates, news and curriculum information.
Let us introduce ourselves! We are Sue Dauncey, Lisa Jackson and Christine Maidment. We teach straight grade two classes this year. Madame Soutar is our French teacher. We are all very excited to be teaching your children and getting to know all of you. We look forward to meeting you on Tuesday, September 11th for Pizza Night. Your child will have the opportunity to take you on a tour of the classroom.
Welcome to the St. Gabriel Gr. 2 Blog!

This is the place to find out about what's going on in your child's class. Two of St. Gabriel's initiatives are to support and initiate 21st century learning and environmental awareness. A blog such as this, that will provide paperless newsletters and links to educational sites, is a great way to meet these objectives. We hope you will check in regularly and enjoy our site.
